Sex magic as political resistance. Eros in service of liberation.
Many of us, each in our own ways, have been fighting and resisting the chaos and cruelty being deliberately unleashed on the world right now. And you’ve probably felt that particular exhaustion that isn’t just tiredness; that creeping sense that the numbers aren’t on our side, that nothing we do will slow the machine down enough to matter. The world is on fire and the smoke makes it hard to see clearly.
That feeling isn’t weakness, but it is a lie. A deliberate one. Empires don’t only fight on the physical plane; they colonize the imagination, blur the vision, make resistance feel futile before it begins, make people forget what collective power actually feels like when it moves through a body. That forgetting is a spell, and it’s been working.
Yet history tells a different story; there has always been a majority aligned with justice, and when we remember that, when we feel it rather than just think it, things shift.
EroSomatics is calling a counterspell.
On April 19th, during Earth Week, we gather on Zoom for two hours of communal erotic practice—breath, body, intention, and orgasm—on behalf of something specific: waking up the people still under empire’s spell, so the circle of those who can see clearly and act keeps growing. Fortifying the ones already in the fight, so they don’t burn out alone. Restoring our collective memory of what we’re actually capable of when we move together. And sending erotic energy outward into the political and spiritual landscape itself; because sex magic is real, pleasure is power, and we have been leaving that power on the table.
And then we go home and keep casting. For the seven days following the ritual, participants commit to dedicating their pleasure practices—orgasm, intentional self-pleasure, erotic breath—to the collective working. Every orgasm, every joyful sigh, every pleasure, on behalf of building the counterspell, across a week of individual bodies doing it together in our own time and space. On Earth Day, April 22nd, EroSomatics sends a booster, an audio touchstone to amplify the working on the day when all of humanity is reckoning with what we’re willing to do to save the earth.. On April 25th, we close the spell together with a final audio to mark the completion of the working.
Pleasure that stops being private and starts being pointed at something is how we fight on every plane at once.
